Shenandoah Mutual was chartered in 1876 by local businessmen who wanted an economical, trustworthy farm-and-home insurer for the Valley. Nearly 150 years later we’re still here — still mutual, still headquartered in Woodstock, and still answering to policyholders instead of outside shareholders.
