What happens next
How your claim is handled
Your claim is processed through our local Woodstock office by either an in-house adjuster or an experienced independent adjuster. A representative will contact you to arrange an appointment. Following a widespread disaster, our goal is to make initial contact with each affected property owner within several days.
Before the adjuster arrives
Prevent further damage
Cover broken windows or a damaged roof with plywood, tarps or other temporary materials — and keep your receipts.
Document the loss
Separate damaged from undamaged property and photograph the damage before any repairs begin.
Make an inventory
Complete a personal property inventory of what was damaged or lost. Use our downloadable inventory sheet below.
Get repair estimates
Obtain two itemized estimates from licensed, bonded and insured contractors for the repairs.
